How Evan met Devon...
Labor Day 2007, two separate groups of friends are at Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Devon & friends having a staycation. Evan & friends celebrating his return to LA and new job. Lost and wondering the halls looking for their friend, a group of guys call out..."Evan, Evan...EVAN!" but he is nowhere to be found (to this day, Devon wonders where he was....). Devon hears the calls (thinking they were calling DEVON) and leaves her room only to discover the lost boys. "What do you want?" exclaims Devon. "Um...we are looking for our friend, Evan". Minutes later, Evan, not lost (where was he again...), comes out of the elevator to see a stunning young lady standing in front of him. "You must be Evan," she says and they spark up a conversation about the Dodgers, Arcade Fire and food, creating an instant bond.
CUT TO: Devon & Evan are friends for years and reconnect in 2012 while living two hours apart (three in traffic) Soon, the friendship that began that late night in Hollywood blossoms into one of true love.
Then, on January 3, 2015, when Devon & Evan are glamping in Ojai {glam-ping: glamorous camping} it all happens. Evan, with a ring that he's been holding onto for months awaiting that perfect moment, decides the question would be best on a romantic hike. Above a gorgeous waterfall, overlooking the valley they conquered by foot, Evan gets to one knee and asks for her to be his wife...
